A. How to Shoot Virtual Tours?
PB7 is the first virtual tour software that allows you to shoot hand-held. No tripod is needed! This feature makes shooting
virtual tour photos quick, easy and fun!
Basic photo shooting guide for stitching panoramas:
In order to stitch, you must have at least 3 images.
Each image must overlap the next image by approximately 30%. (Do not exceed 50% overlapping).
Keep the camera level.
Shoot from one spot (do not change position while shooting the pano).
All photos to be stitched must be in the same orientation. (Do not mix landscape with portrait)

The image below shows the 15 individual original digital photos and how to shoot so that PB7 can stitch them together. In this example, the photos were shot in a horizontal zig-zag pattern from the bottom row up:

B. Creating Virtual Tours
Image Resizing - Once you've shot the photos and downloaded them to your computer, the photos are then opened in PB7. PB7 includes a resize
feature that allows you to resize the photos to 640 x 480 pixel dimension. When the virtual tour will be displayed on the Web only (not high resolution printing), you can choose this feature which will resize all the photos to
640 x 480 pixel dimension. This will decrease the photo stitching time.
Originals (1024 x 768): total file size 5.76 MB
Originals resized to 640 x 480: total file size now 2.02 MB
Stitched image - After photo stitching is completed, the image is created as below:

Image Cropping - PB7 includes tools for cropping, cutting and adjusting the brightness, contrast and sharpness. These easy to use tools make preparing an image for
web publishing a snap.
Download the cropped full-size image (1.2 MB, Height: 983): after_cropped.jpg
Image Compression - PB7 includes 3cim's proprietary compression application which optimizes the image for display on the Web without losing image quality.
Download the compressed full-size image (224 KB, Height: 983): after_compressed.jpg
Publishing to the Web - After an image is compressed, it is ready for publishing to the Web. After publishing, an
URL address for the virtual tour is created.
Virtual Tour Displayed on the Web - Once published to the Web, the resulting virtual tour template shows multiple scenes. Each scene is represented by a clickable thumbnail appearing below the main display window. Notice when viewing the virtual tour that you can move around the image in the display window both vertically and horizontally by clicking and dragging your mouse in any direction.
