PB7 panorama software is a completely web-based panorama maker for stitching and publishing panorama Virtual Tours. A series of photos from a digital camera are assembled or "stitched" together in the application to create a seamless panorama image. 7. Is PB7 panorama software difficult to learn to use?
Not at all! With PB7 panorama software, you can create and publish Virtual Tours in 3 easy steps. (Get images -> Stitch -> Publish) It takes less than 5 minutes. Anyone can build and publish Virtual Tours!

8. What equipment do I need to shoot photos and stitch them in PB7 panorama software? Do I need any special equipment?
All you need is a digital camera to shoot and create panoramas, and a computer with internet access to publish the panoramas to the Web. Any digital camera will work and high resolution is not necessary (640 x 480 pixel size images are sufficient). Panoramas can be shot with the camera hand-held. While any digital camera will work, for indoor panoramas, for better quality results,we recommend to use digital cameras that include an "AE Lock" (auto-exposure lock) or a manual exposure setting. While a tripod is not necessary to shoot and stitch panoramas, we recommend using one when shooting interiors. For better lighting indoors with a flash, we recommend a diffuser ($49) for shooting interiors (digital camera with "hotshoe" flash connector required). http://store.garyfonginc.com/licl.html

Once the panorama has been published to the Web, it can be viewed on any computer with a Web browser installed (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.). Published panoramas are viewed by clicking the URL (ex: http://www.3cim.com/3cim/tour.do?method=viewTour&id=1082394617186&view=3). This URL can be sent in an email or placed on any web site.

16. Once I publish panorama(s) online, where are they stored? How do I access them?
Your published panoramas will be hosted in 3cim's server and can be accessed by logging into your PB7 account.

17. Can the Virtual Tour be burned to a CD?
Yes, both PB7 and PB7 Pro include a link for downloading a set of files which can be written to a CD. The "Download CD Files" link can be found on the PB7 Manage Tour page. Clicking the link will download a zip format folder. All you have to do is unzip the folder and burn to a CD. (This feature free in PB7, PB7 Pro requires that the hosting period is extended once to activate the "Download CD Files" link).

How to "Download CD files" to make a CD?
  1. Right click on "Download CD Files" link and "Save Target As" to your computer
  2. Unzip the file and you will find one folder and one autorun.inf file
  3. Copy both "folder and autorun.inf" files to a CD
  4. If you do not want the CD to auto run when it is loaded on a PC, do not copy the autorun.inf file to the CD. Instead, to run the tour from the finished CD, open the folder and click the "index.html" file

18. How do I show the Virtual Tour on my website? Can the panorama Virtual Tour(s) be uploaded (hosted) on other web servers?
When a panorama is published to our server, it creates a URL web address. This can be linked to any website by adding the URL link to your web page. Alternatively, if you want to host the panorama on your web server, this can be done by downloading the "server" files from your PB7 Pro account (available in PB7 Pro only). PB7 Pro requires extending the hosting period once for the Virtual Tour in order to activate the "Download Server Files" link. These server files can then be uploaded to your web host server.

How to "Download Server Files" and upload to my web server?
  1. Right click on the "Download Server Files" link (found on the "Checked Tours" page in PB7 Pro only), and "Save Target As" (.zip format file), to your computer
  2. Double click the downloaded .zip file and then extract the files using Winzip or other zip utility
  3. Once extracted, you will see a folder named with a number and an autorun.inf file
  4. Upload only the number named folder to your web server
  5. Make a link on your web server to the folder (Example: http://www.3cim.com/111758) (The Tour runs using 3cim's proprietary Flash display viewer so you do not need any other display viewer)

19. Can the Virtual Tour be embedded in a web page or does it always show from a pop-up window?
Yes, published Virtual Tours can be embedded in a web page rather than load from a pop-up window. Web administrators and designers can alter the Tour code to embed the Virtual Tour in another web page.

20. I want to attach my Virtual Tour to my listing on Realtor.com. Does PB7 allow me to do this?
Yes, PB7 (and PB7 Pro) include a feature which allows you to attach (publish) your Virtual Tour to your listing on Realtor.com. (Note: For PB7 Pro only, in order to publish a tour to Realtor.com, the tour hosting must be extended first.) All you need do is enter the MLS# into the Tour text section when you publish or modify the Tour, then just two simple clicks on the Manage Tour page sends your Tour to Realtor.com!

21. How much does it cost to attach my Virtual Tour to Realtor.com?
There is no charge for this for Realtors who are Showcase members of Realtor.com. Non-Showcase members are charged $20.00 in their PB7 account when submitting Virtual Tours to Realtor.com. (For more information about Showcase membership, please contact Realtor.com).

22. Can I publish my Virtual Tour to Realtor.com by myself (not through PB7)?
Realtor.com does not allow Realtors to upload their own Virtual Tour links to their web site. This must be done by an approved Virtual Tour vendor. PB7 provides a system for agents to do these themselves.

23. Can I link the virtual tour to the listing on my local MLS? Does my PB7 account provide an MLS/IDX compliant link?

The virtual tour URL hosted in your PB7 account can be submitted to a listing on your MLS. For information on how to do this, please contact the customer service support at your local MLS. When a tour is published into your PB7 account, the system provides both a fully branded virtual tour template, and automatically generates a modified URL for submission to your MLS. This modified URL hides all the agent contact and button link features so that the link is MLS/IDX compliant. To access the MLS/IDX compliant link, when a tour is published, you will see a "URLs" text link in the row corresponding to the published tour on the Manage Tours page. Click "URLs", then click link #2 which will open another page showing the modified URL's available. The MLS compliant link is URL 3.

24. I just created and published a Virtual Tour that was stitched vertically as well as horizontally. How will a viewer know that they can move the Virtual Tour up and down as well as left and right?

PB7 panorama software allows you to stitch panoramas both vertically as well as horizontally. When you have stitched a 4-directional panorama (up, down ,left and right), the Virtual Tour template will show a 4-directional arrow icon in the lower right of the Virtual Tour control bar (see image below).

29. How do I purchase PB7 Pro for my Virtual Tour business?
To purchase PB7 Pro, Click here. Once you fill out this form, you will receive a purchase confirmation email with how to login to your PB7 Pro account. After login, click "Photographers" on the top menu bar and click the "Add New Photographer" to start publishing Tours using your PB7 Pro account.

30. I am the only one using PB7 Pro and taking photos, do I have to setup a photographer account?
Yes, you have to setup a photographer account as in order to send a finished Tour to one of your clients, the Tour must first be assigned to a photographer in your PB7 Pro account. Because PB7 Pro allows you to set up multiple photographer accounts, each photographer account requires a unique username. The username must be a valid email address. These usernames must be different from one another and the PB7 Pro username as well. We suggest to use the primary username (email) for the photographer account and a secondary username for PB7 Pro.
